25 minute introduction to our Teen Summit, compiled by our Youth Action Committee, followed by a Keynote Address from the Florida Department of Children and Families Domestic Violence Program Prevention Specialist Morgan Macholoeth.  


February 9th:

Adult Workshop | 10am | Teen Dating Violence & Digital Abuse Overview

A deep dive into Teen Dating Violence, Digital Abuse, & Isolation. This interactive presentation sets the foundation of information that adults need to understand the intricacies of Teen Dating Violence

power and control dynamics.

Youth Workshop | 6pm | Digital Abuse: “Reel” Life Advice

Join the Youth Action Committee and Spring Injunction Attorney, Tori McNeal, for this fun, interactive space to learn red flags, warning signs, and ways to support a peer. Compete on Kahoot! over what-would-you-do situations based on real-life scenarios from Domestic Violence Survivors. 


February 16th:

Adult Workshop | 10am | How to be a Safe Adult

Youth are often told to go to “a safe adult”, but what does that really mean? Learn about some of the skills needed to be a safe adult that teens can go to in crisis. This conversation segways into further exploration of safety planning with youth about digital abuse.

Adults |10am | Live Q&A w/ Panel of Dating Violence Prevention Experts

Join Domestic Violence Prevention Experts at the table as they take open questions regarding digital abuse, safety planning, & supporting youth.

This event is a virtual “fireside chat” with the Youth Action Committee and State-Level Intimate Violence Enhanced Service Team Coordinator, Alexandra Fidler. Join us for a casual, unique, opportunity to get answers to the relationship questions you have always had.
